Castillo La Paz is a great accompaniment to pork sausages, chicken casseroles and hard cheese.

Joe Fattorini’s Tasting Note: “Think of the things that make for great wines – classic varieties, old vines, historic regions, oak ageing… and then imagine them for about six quid. That’s this wine. Mature, complex strawberry and spice aromas and flavours, wonderful with a mid-week paella dotted with chorizo. Or a rich chicken casserole or pie. Mid-weight, ripe and delicious.”
Grown in Don Quixote’s homeland, the old vines from Castillo La Paz thrive in red-brown sandy clay, rich in limestone and chalk.
The clean and dry atmosphere creates optimum growing conditions for these ancient vines to produce wine of deep colour with concentrated aromas of rich berries and lifted soft strawberry characters on the palate.
A superb example of Tempranillo at its best.
